SoCal Bliss at Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa

SoCal Bliss at Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa

If you have ever been to Southern California you know there is no shortage or amazing resorts to choose from. From Los Angeles to San Diego there are hundreds of hotels that will blow your mind and make you feel like royalty, if you can afford the bill. In this post I’d like to focus on an older resort that has some of the most incredible views you could imagine, Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa.

Breath-Taking Views

I had to start here because it’s something that can’t be ignored. It’s actually a little strange that the resort is called the Laguna Cliffs because it’s located right above the iconic Dana Point harbor. When you first arrive you will see a breath-taking panoramic view all the way to Newport Beach to San Diego on a clear day.

Health & Wellness Activities

Orange County has long been know for people who make health and wellness a priority. There is sunshine most of the year so it’s almost always beach season. The Laguna Cliffs resort has one of the highest rated spas in the area including body scrubs and wraps, couple’s massages, eye treatments, facials and lip treatments, full-body massages, and a steam room.

There are also plenty of near by wellness centers that provide full body healing treatments. One that stands out to me is First Element Wellness where I was able to get a totally free 30 minute PEMF Therapy session. If you have never tried PEMF it stands for (pulsed electromagnetic field therapy). You lay in a super comfortable chair and the machine does the rest. It’s meant to improve the circulation through out your body and I can say that I felt a big improvement. The owner Deavah was very nice and helpful as I was getting the treatment and she also offered me some samples of essential oils and CBD products that I’m a big fan of and use on a regular basis.

The Delicious Cuisine

As expected from any resort of this caliber, the food was great! Because you are basically right above the pacific ocean I highly recommend trying a seafood option like the Garbanzo Crusted Calamari. They also have everything else from premium steaks, soups, salads and comfort foods if thats what you are in the mood for. While you don’t ever need to leave the resort for great food I encourage you to check out some of the other great restaurants close by.

In Summary

I had a great relaxing stay at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott. The staff was very friendly and even though the resort was full it did not feel overcrowded. Check out the video below to check an idea of what you can expect from your stay.

If I had to choose one thing to be critical about it would be the older look to the resort in comparison to some newer resorts near by like the Montage Laguna Beach just a few miles north which is about as high class as it gets.
